Eligibility

Eligible members are offered the Home Essential plan. Eligibility can be confirmed in the Communication History Log.
A system note will indicate the customer was sent a letter of eligibility.
If the system note below is NOT present, the customer is NOT ELIGIBLE for the Home Essentials Plan and their warranty will expire on the scheduled expiration date.

Eligible members have up to 90 days to accept the offer to renew into Home Essentials. After 90 days, members are no longer eligible.
This ONLY applies to customers coded for Non-Renewal-Service Company’s Option who receive an offer to renew into the Home Essentials Plan.

Home Essentials covers your most critical and most expensive home systems and two primary kitchen appliances.
This plan includes your heating, air conditioning, and plumbing systems. It also covers your range/oven and refrigerator.

FAQs

How much does it cost?

  • It’s just $29.99 a month. That’s less than a dollar a day that can possibly save you thousands of dollars a year.

What is the Deductible?

  1. This plan has a $250 deductible. So, that’s all you should pay for a covered claim, even if the system needs to be replaced (non-covered charges may apply to certain repairs or replacements).

Can I get a lower deductible?  

  • $250 is the only deductible available

Additional Benefits and Features

  • This plan includes a 180-day workmanship guarantee on all work performed
  • You are also eligible to receive up to $1,000 a year for your homeowner’s insurance deductible should you need to place a claim, AND a $25 credit toward a water, or air filter just for enrolling.
  • Discounts on appliance purchases
  • Emergency locksmith reimbursement 

Can I get coverage for other items?  

Optional coverage is available (i.e., septic, pool/spa, well pump), however, outside of those items, coverage is not available for additional appliances or systems. The Home Essentials provides coverage for your most critical and expensive home systems, as well as your Range/Oven and Refrigerator.

Why can’t I have my same plan/Renew into the same plan?

(Customer Name), the company (Cinch formerly HMS or Cinch), like all organizations, review their business portfolio and make decisions to conduct business based on this.  All businesses evaluate various factors when deciding to offer products or services in certain areas.

Things such as the ability to provide a product or service at the level expected, operating costs or the given market’s needs. This is a standard practice for all businesses, and I am sure, you would understand a business’ need to make these hard decisions.

As it is your right per the contract to discontinue the warranty, the company can exercise the same right.  Decisions to not renew a warranty are taken very seriously and made in alignment with our business goals.  At this time, the company has decided not to renew your [Service Plan] warranty, but we are happy to offer you Home Essentials.

If no additional questions, proceed to wrap up.

If additional questions: (Customer Name), we understand your concerns and want to ensure you that the decision to non-renew the warranty involved extensive consideration. At this time, the company has decided not to move forward with the renewal of your warranty in alignment with our business plan.

Wrap up: (Customer Name), we at (Cinch formerly HMS or Cinch), apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If still active: Your warranty is set to expire on date, we would recommend using this time to seek coverage alternatives.

Home Essential Renewal Process

Once you speak to the customer and they agree to “renew” into the Home Essential Plan, proceed to the steps as outlined below.
DO NOT enroll the plan:

  1. Email ProductTeam@cinchhs.com and copy your supervisor and include the following
    1. Contract number
    2. [Customer’s Name] accepts renewal into the Home Essentials Plan
  2. Send the email and advise the customer that coverage details will be available online at my.cinchhomeservices.com on the effective date.
  3. Notate accordingly and disposition as a renewal.
