New Application form/screen – This is an area where the application for a new warranty can be entered or downloaded, pending conversion to the HS Enrollment Form. Conversion is processed after the enrollment effective or property closing date has been verified.
New Application is used by:
1. HMS Affiliates, Enrollment and Accounting Associates. In essence, anyone who has system can enter applications in TIMX.
2. Third Party clients; GMAC and CitiMortgage download warranty applications, pending request for enrollment.
Why is This Done?
An application is used when a customer is not fully committed to purchasing a warranty or the property. However, they still want the opportunity to purchase the warranty once the property closed or they have reviewed the offer.
What Happens After the Application is Entered or Downloaded?
By
doing an address search in TIMX, the application information will display in
the HS Search panel with a blue highlight. The blue highlight indicates
that the application has not been converted to a warranty, it
will not have a contract number and it will not appear in TIMX Claims.
An Enrollment or a Support Services Associate can convert HMS applications to an active warranty after the closing date has been verified. A Retention Associate will convert the application upon request from the homeowner to be enrolled.
During an address search if the application information appears with the blue highlight, the associate would need to double click on the record. It will then take you to the Application Entry Form where the application can then be converted.
