Sears Break Fix Procedure: Authorizations
The Sears Break Fix process is used when a Sears Tech is at the Customer’s home completing a Preventative Maintenance visit and locates an actual failure to the HVAC system that requires repair. The Sears Tech must call Cinch to provide us with the diagnosis and we will create a new Service Request assigned to Sears.
The Service Report process takes place as usual, utilizing the procedures and pricing guidelines below.
- Sears Home Warranty Appliance plans are not eligible for Preventative Maintenance.
- The failure diagnoses should not be entered on the original Preventative Maintenance request, but rather on the new Service Request that was created when the Sears Tech called Authorizations to report the failure.
- Sears does not use Cinch parts.
