Plumbing & Electrical Grouping

Plumbing & Electrical Grouping

Multiple items from either the plumbing trade or electrical trade can be placed on the same trade Service Request within specific trade guidelines. These are considered Groupings.
  1. Items MUST be the same trade
    1. Plumbing with Plumbing and Electrical with Electrical
  2. Items MUST be the same type
    1. 3 Outlets, 2 Waterlines, etc.
  3. Items of the same trade but different types MUST be placed on a separate Service Request following the Multi-Item Service Initiation process.
    1. A switch and an outlet cannot be placed together on the same Service Request
    2. Example: A toilet and 2 water lines would be a Multi-Item Service Request; on the water line job you would identify the item/location/failure of both water lines in the Special Instructions.
  4. ONLY the items listed on the Grouping List can be grouped.
When creating the Service Request, indicate additional items in the special instructions including the location and failure of each.
Sample Note
  1. This request includes multiple items: (1) water line, kitchen, leaking; (2) water line, bathroom, leaking
General Electrical and General Plumbing item codes are NOT to be used for any reason when initiating a Service Request.
