A completed Service Job is considered finalized. The Service Provider has accepted, worked, and completed it. It is expected that the Service Provider does not have any further work to do for the customer or job. Manual completion of a Service Job should only be executed by Service Providers, Authorizers, or a member of Management.
The Complete button should be manually selected only:
- After the Service Job is updated with all appropriate information.
- Repair is finalized so that no further work is required on it.
- The claim is created, submitted, and in the Transferred status.
Any Service Job with an Accepted status that has a claim on it in either a Transferred or Paid status will be automatically updated to Completed status by ServiceBench.
Once in Completed status, the following applies to the Service Job:
- It can no longer be edited.
- Notes can still be added by clicking Add Comment.
- Service Job Escalations can be performed.
- New claims can be created on the Service Job.
Process
- In the Service Description field, document the reason for manually completing the Service Job.
- Always add to existing notes. Do not delete or overwrite.
- In the Service Date field, enter the current date.
- Click Complete.
- Verify the status is Completed.
