Cinch Relocation Company Procedures

This topic provides an overview of the procedures to follow when a relocation company takes over a listing that has an Cinch warranty on it.

Scenario 1: A SHW is in place on a property that is listed with a real estate broker/agent.  A relocation company takes over the listing and wants to keep the warranty.

·       We will change the name on the contract to the relocation company and issue a new confirmation invoice.  Also verify that the email address, phone number and other contact information has been updated accordingly.

·       If the original contract holder was on a private label program, switch the product to the generic warranty for that market or to National One.

Scenario 2: A SHW is in place on a property that is listed with a real estate broker/agent.  A relocation company takes over the listing and does not want to offer our warranty any longer.

·       We will cancel the warranty.  If there have been any claims, we will charge the lesser of the claim amount or the price of the warranty to the relocation company (the party wanting to cancel the warranty).  In taking over the listing, the relocation company assumes responsibility for any commitments relating to the listing.

Scenario 3: A BDW is in place on a property that is listed with a real estate broker/agent.  A relocation company takes over the listing.

·       We will cancel the existing warranty and refund the contract holder the prorated amount.  Then we will enroll a new SHW in the name of the relocation company.
